Formaldehyde Test

100 €

Indoor air quality diagnosis. Measures the pollution of the indoor environment by formaldehyde and other aldehydes. Analysis by a certified laboratory.

Formaldehyde and aldehydes are volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and indoor air pollutants that are ubiquitous in all homes and offices.

Classified as a known human carcinogen, indoor air contamination by formaldehyde is of particular concern for the health of occupants. Formaldehyde sensitizes and promotes asthma and respiratory allergies.

The YOOTEST Formaldehyde Analysis Test provides an accurate measurement of indoor air pollution by formaldehyde and aldehydes.

You sample the air in the room you wish to analyze with a passive sensor for a full week.

You return your air sample with the prepaid envelope provided.

Our expert laboratory analyses your samples and produces a comprehensive and comprehensible report including advice on how to improve the quality of your indoor air.

Two levels of analysis are proposed:

ESSENTIAL

The ESSENTIAL level analysis focuses on the most hazardous chemicals that have been classified as high priority for health by international health authorities, including WHO, US EPA, ANSES and HEALTH CANADA.

INTEGRAL

The INTEGRAL level analysis includes all ESSENTIAL level chemicals as well as an extensive list of other common indoor air pollutants of health concern.

What are the pollutants sought in the YOOTEST Formaldehyde Test?

The complete list of aldehydes searched for is available here : YOOTEST Formaldehyde molecules

What are the benefits of using a YOOTEST Formaldehyde Test?

YOOTEST allows you to test the quality of your indoor air with great accuracy. Selected pollutants are measured in the laboratory using state-of-the-art technology to ensure measurements below the international health reference values for the most dangerous air pollutants in indoor air.

  • Sampling is very simple to carry out and does not require technical or scientific expertise.
  • A step-by-step instruction manual describing the operations to be carried out to take your indoor air sample is provided with the unique identifier of your analytical test.
  • The international prepaid return of the sample is included in your kit.
  • Your air sample is analyzed by a certified laboratory selected for its expertise in indoor air analysis.

Available within 10 working days, your analysis report:

  • Presents the concentration of each VOC analyzed expressed in µg/m3 (microgram per cubic meter of air). This is compared to the values of the main international standards and allows you to interpret the level of indoor air pollution.
  • Gives clear indications to identify the sources of the pollutants detected.
  • Proposes simple and effective solutions to improve the quality of yourPresents the main technologies available to purify your indoor air.

What does the YOOTEST Formaldehyde Test include?

  • A step-by-step instruction manual describing the operations to be carried out to take your indoor air sample.
  • A passive sensor used for formaldehyde and aldehyde sampling.
  • A sampling sheet on which the parameters necessary for the interpretation of the results in the laboratory are indicated (sampling location, dates and times of beginning and end of sampling, average temperature during sampling).
  • A prepaid envelope for the return of your sample to the laboratory.
  • The analysis of your sample by a laboratory specialized in indoor air analysis.
  • A detailed and interpreted report with advice on how to improve the quality of your indoor environment

How to use your Formaldehyde detection test?

The measurement is performed using a passive sensor that contains a chemical reagent that captures formaldehyde.

This sensor must be placed in the room to be analyzed for a period of 7 consecutive days.

At the end of these 7 days, the sensor is returned to the laboratory with the sampling sheet, using the prepaid envelope provided.

How many tests do I need?

It is recommended to use one test for a maximum area of 650 to 850 square foot (60 to 80 m2).
