Dust mites are very common in indoor environments. They thrive in bedding, mattresses and pillows, sofas, carpets and cushions. Dust mite allergens are responsible for 50% of asthma and respiratory allergies. For people with allergies, the presence of dust mite allergen presents a risk of triggering asthma attacks.

The YOOTEST Dust Mite Allergen Test enables precise measurement of indoor air pollution by the mite allergens Der p1 (Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus) and Der f1 (Dermatophagoides farinae).

You carry out the dust sampling in the room you wish to analyze with your domestic vacuum cleaner equipped with the filter supplied in the kit.

You return your dust sample with the prepaid envelope included.

Your dust sample is studied using the MARIA® (Multiplex ARray for Indoor Allergens) analysis technique, which allows precise measurement of the two most common dust mite allergens that are responsible for asthma and allergies (Der p 1 and Der f 1).

  • The sampling device included in the YOOTEST Dust Mite Kit consists of a filter and a nozzle to be placed on the hose of your vacuum cleaner. Once the sampling is completed, the filter must be returned to the laboratory with the sampling plug using the pre-paid envelope included.

How many tests do I need?

It is recommended to use one test for a maximum area of 650 to 850 square feet (60 to 80 m2).
